Wednesday David Bland Business Modeling Workshop David Bland led an interactive workshop on business modelings to start off the business fundamentals for the week. The companies created lean canvas models and got live feedback to iterate.
Michael Heinrich Fireside chat Raised a $25m seed round for a web3 company (0G Labs).
Andy Tang Marriage Funding Paradox Andy Tang, Tim Draper’s partner at Draper Associates, gave a talk on the marriage fundraising paradox for early stage startups.
Optional: Little Tech Evening Public event hosted by Draper University to have a discussion on different career avenues in the startup world. Founders were welcome to attend this event, but it was not required.
Thursday Luchang Zheng Conversation on the Web3 Investment Landscape Luchang Zheng, the founding partner of Arcanum Capital gave a talk on what she’s seeing in the web3 landscape from a venture capital perspective.

Arcanum Capital focuses on early stage startups in web3, so this session included extra time for needed Q&A. | | | Suffiyan Malik | Networking in Silicon Valley | Suffiyan Malik, Vice President of Programs & Growth at Draper University, gave a session on networking in Silicon Valley. | | | SDF mentors | Stellar Mentor Office Hours | Office hours for founders to get technical help on projects from SDF mentors. | | | | Optional: Emerging Tech Trends and Impact Event | Event not co-hosted by Draper University, but recommended to attend in Palo Alto. Panel discussion on AI x Web3. | | Friday | | San Francisco Tour! | The program rented a Greyhound bus and explored San Francisco for the day. ⚡️ Week 2: Business Fundamentals & Pitch Decks

Monday (Holiday, optional) Tech Detox Event This was a national holiday, so we kept it casual and hosted a cookout event. It was open to the public and was an optional event. The purpose of this event was to not talk about anything work related, and connect with people on a deeper & more meaningful level.
Tuesday Maya Sol Prototype Thinking & Ranking Risks Workshop Maya Sol, an entrepreneur and coach gave a talk on a method for quick and cost-effective iteration, prototype thinking. She also touched on ranking risks for early stage startups, and how to approach them with intention.
(optional) Ai + Web3 Pitch Competition in SF at House of Web3 Another optional event for startup founders, Draper University hosted a web3 pitch competition in San Francisco. A few of the Hacker House participants were selected by random to pitch, in addition to the actual companies who were competing.
Wednesday Melanie Platt Pitch Decks Lecture Melanie Platt, founder at Pitch Hackerz, gave 2 interactive sessions on perfecting a one-liner, elevator pitch, and pitch deck. She also provided office hours for the founders as they geared up for Pitch Day.
Collin Wallace Product Market Fit Ex-MD at Techstars San Francisco, GP @ Lobby Capital talked about how to forge product market fit, and what it really means to validate your core concept.
Maika Isogawa Founder Story Maika Isogawa, the founder of Webacy, talked about her experience raising venture capital and operating a web3 an early stage web3 company.
Thursday Jim Morris Customer Discovery Jim Morris, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur with over two decades of experience including an IPO ($450 million) and a buyout ($168 million), gave a talk on always talking to your customers.
Friday Iterate 2.0 Each company had a 1:1 session with a web3 VCs.
Scott Brown GTM Workshop Scott Brown, a web3 industry expert gave a session on finding the right GTM strategy (specifically in web3) and executing on it.

Gary Coover Tokenization & VC in Web3 COO and founder @ SuperLayer, a web3 venture studio. Gary talked about tokenization, raising capital, and growth.
Tuesday Aaron Krowne Crypto Legal 101 Web3 / Crypto Attorney at Industria Business Lawyers LLP. Included a presentation on basic crypto legal topics and an extended Q&A.
Melanie Platt & Aaliyah Barker Pitch Deck Office Hours
Wednesday Asra Nadeem 1:1 with Asra and DUV team Asra Nadeem had a 1:1 with each company.
Aaliyah Barker Pitch deck approvals Every company had to practice at least once with Aaliyah on stage before pitch day, and get their pitch approved.
Aaliyah Barker Pitch Day Dress Rehearsal The cohort went through a dress rehearsal the night before pitch day to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Thursday Elliot Slate Media Video Sessions SDF media team took videos of the founders for media use.
Tim Draper, Denelle Dixon, Suffiyan Malik, Asra Nadeem, SDF mentors Pitch Day! Each founder had 4 minutes on stage, with judges asking questions and taking notes. Judges were given a scoring book. Tim Draper and Denelle Dixon stayed after to do a panel discussion and to network and mingle with the founders.
Friday Sunny Lu ReFi Session CEO of Ve-Chain visited and gave an overview and introduction to the chain.
Aaliyah Barker End of Program: Program Manager 1:1s Program manager had a 1:1 session with every company to make close out the program and offer post-program support.
Andy Tang Farewell Dinner Andy Tang’s hosted the cohort in his backyard for an intimate farewell dinner.
